Ensuring Grid Sufficiency: Unveiling GLOBSEC Grid Transition Index (GTI)

This Side Session will present GLOBSEC Grid Transition Index comparing the transition readiness in 27 EU countries. Subsequently, the discussion will focus on the following questions: What policies are widely applicable to speed up the grid transition? Who should pay for the capital-intensive parts of the grid transition? How to change the pricing regulations to motivate the DSOs and TSOs to upgrade their grids? How important is the allocation of European Structural and Investment Funds and other non-budgetary funds (Modernization Fund, Recovery and Resilience Plan, and others) to grid transition, and how to achieve this allocation?
