State-sponsored cyber threats, exemplified by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, are expected to dominate the threat landscape in the immediate future. Malicious activities in cyberspace including repeated attempts at cyber espionage from countries like China continue to pose significant risks to national security as well as the overall stability of cyberspace. The objective of this session will be to discuss potential solutions in the fields of information sharing, incident response as well as critical infrastructure protection, as aspects of national cybersecurity preparedness. The session will also cover mechanisms to deter cyber-attacks such as publicly attributing malicious activity and international cooperation among like-minded states.
