Alina Corches serves as a Legal and Policy Officer at the European Commission, working in the department responsible for managing the budget of the European Union. Before joining this department, she was a member of the Commission’s Hors-Classe Advisor team attached to the Director-General for Budget, offering recommendations for a better protection of the EU budget and the EU Single Market against unfair and illegal trade.
Her previous work experience includes roles at the European Parliament, French Ministry of Agriculture, Paris Commercial Court and Paris Regional Court. Alina holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in European and International Law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She has an advanced degree in Regulation from London School of Economics. She is involved in civic projects and international initiatives that focus on social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and youth development.
