Elly is the CEO of Global Voices, where she leads initiatives to amplify young voices on policy topics such as the environment, defence and security, finance and economics, gender equality, AI and technology, and health on a global stage. A graduate of Monash University, she earned a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Environment) with honors in Global Challenges in 2018.
Elly’s commitment to youth-led change began in her teenage years, driving her to lead the Victorian branch of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition and complete internships with Solar Citizens, the North Queensland Conservation Council, and Gecko Environment during her university studies.
At the Victorian Department of Energy, Environment, and Climate Action, Elly now works as a Policy Advisor, where she plays a key role in shaping policies that address climate change and protect natural resources. She also holds an active response role as a forest firefighter, working to protect Victoria’s national and state forests during emergencies.
With a deep belief in the power of collective action, Elly is dedicated to creating change and empowering the next generation of Australia’s policy leaders.
