Ivan Anušić

Ivan Anušić is a prominent Croatian politician currently serving as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence for the Republic of Croatia. His educational background includes studies at the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Kinesiology. Anušić’s career in public service began with his tenure at the Ministry of Defence from 1991 to 2003. He later served as the Mayor of Antunovac Municipality from 2005 to 2017. His leadership led him to the Croatian Parliament, where he served as a Member of Parliament from 2015 to 2017 and as the President of the War Veterans Committee from 2016 to 2017. Before his current role in the national government, Anušić was the Prefect of the Osijek-Baranja County from 2017 to 2023.
