Jozef Bátora is Professor at the Department of Political Science at Comenius University in Bratislava and at Webster University in Vienna. His research focuses on change and stability of international institutions, organization theory, diplomacy, EU governance and change dynamics in global security. Previously, he held posts as director of the Institute of European Studies and International Relations at Comenius University, senior researcher at ARENA – Centre for European Studies at the University of Oslo; fellow at the Institute for European Integration Research at the Austrian Academy of Sciences; visiting professor at The Europe Center, Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University and as visiting scholar at SCANCOR, Stanford University. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and offered his expertise as lecturer in a training program for the European External Action Service. He holds a PhD in political science from the University of Oslo. His latest book is “Differentiation and Dominance in Europe’s Poly-Crises” (with John E. Fossum, London: Routledge, 2024).
