2004 — One of the lawyers of the candidate for the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, who were able to prove in Supreme Court the fact of falsification of the election results by another candidate – Viktor Yanukovych. As a result, a re-voting took place and Yushchenko became the President of Ukraine.
Reznikov is a well-known & one of the best Ukrainian negotiators. He was the Deputy Head of the Ukrainian delegation at the “Minsk negotiations” regarding the peaceful settlement of the situation due to Russia’s occupation of the part of territories in the east of Ukraine.
As a lawyer, he practiced alternative dispute resolution. Due to the fact that he managed to bring most of the conflict cases to a peaceful settlement, he received the nickname “Peacemaker”.
He also has extensive teaching experience: he taught at a number of National Universities of Ukraine.
Recently, he gave lectures in American University, Washington DC, Berkeley University and Stanford University, California, Tokyo, Munich, Vilnius, Tel Aviv.
He was also a speaker at The Future of Ukraine Conference at the Stimson Center (Washington DC); at the Wilson Center with a speech on the topic “How to Defeat an Autocracy? Lessons from Ukraine’s Defense against Russia’s Invasion” (Washington DC). Together with American filmmaker Norma Percy Oleksii Reznikov was a speaker at the Hey Festival Anytime (United Kingdom).
