GLOBSEC Forum 2024

The 19th edition of the GLOBSEC Forum is set to captivate the global stage on 30 August – 1 September 2024, in Prague, Czechia. The GLOBSEC Forum is renowned for being one of the foremost dialogue platforms in Europe and aims to underscore Central and Eastern Europe’s growing significance in upholding global stability.

The upcoming 19th edition represents the start of a new era for the GLOBSEC Forum. At the very beginning of the fall diplomatic season, GLOBSEC will inaugurate the rotating GLOBSEC Forum, a strategic initiative designed to reflect GLOBSEC’s strong roots and legacy in Central and Eastern Europe. Thus, this year’s edition of the Forum will be hosted in Prague under the auspices of Petr Pavel, President of Czechia and in close cooperation with the Czech government.

At the same time, the Forum will celebrate the two-decade milestone of EU membership for several Central and Eastern European countries, along with their 20th and 25th anniversaries in NATO.

FOUR TOPICAL PILLARS

As Ukraine continues its fight against the Russian aggressor, the level of geopolitical instability is on the rise. Escalating conflicts in the Middle East have led to bloodshed, further proding security in the region.

Adding to the complexity, the forthcoming elections on both sides of the Atlantic will significantly shape the future direction of both the European Union and the Transatlantic partnership.

As debates continue over how best to address this era of polycrisis and the increasing dominance of geoeconomics and geotechnology, uncertainty remains the only certainty.
