Global Affairs Analyst, CNN

Kim Dozier is a CNN Global Affairs Analyst. She has written for TIME Magazine, Rolling Stone, The Daily Beast and the Associated Press, covering intelligence, defense and national security and foreign policy. A Peabody-Award-winning former CBS Evening News correspondent, she has covered conflicts in Europe, the Mideast and Asia.  

Dozier details surviving the car bomb that hit her news team in Baghdad in 2006 in “Breathing the Fire: Fighting to Survive and Get Back to the Fight.”  

She has also spoken on understanding the media, and resilience after surviving war injury, to hundreds of audiences including the U.S. Army War College, the U.S. Naval Academy, the Naval War College, the Joint Special Operations University, the FBI Academy at Quantico, National Defense University, and her own alma maters Wellesley College and the University of Virginia.
